From prosecuting drug rings to taking on billion-dollar companies defrauding consumers, I've always sought ways to be smarter, more effective and more equitable in our approach to justice.

We all feel it. After the pandemic, like many other major cities, Denver faces complex challenges: gun violence and violent crime, school violence, thefts that hurt working families, the fentanyl epidemic and far too many people struggling with addiction and homelessness.

We can overcome these challenges with commitment, energy and innovation. And if there’s a city in America that’s up to doing that, it’s Denver, Colorado. I’ve dedicated my life to addressing hard challenges, advocating for smarter policing, not over-policing, and ensuring swift, certain, and fair consequences for violent crimes, especially those involving guns. I’ve worked to honor, protect and support crime victims – and to do everything possible to reduce the number of our fellow residents who are victimized. And I’m committed to bringing innovative problem-solving that builds trust and addresses crime proactively. As Denver District Attorney, my mission will be to earn and sustain the trust of our community, ensuring Denver remains a vibrant, welcoming, and safe city for all of us.
