A key part of ensuring community safety as the Denver District Attorney means working to give a voice to victims of crimes in Denver.  

John strongly supports the Family Violence Unit and the County Court Unit in serving sex assault victims and victims of domestic violence.  And he also is committed to the Cold Case Unit which focuses on previously-unsolved sex assaults and homicides, some dating back to the 1970s.

Other specialty units, including the Elder Abuse Unit, the Economic Crime Unit and the Organized Crime Unit also place victims’ rights front and center.
